This week on Lady History: We are talking about suffragists history tends to forget. These ladies advocated for the vote. Meet adolescent advocate Mabel Ping Hua-Lee, wise wordsmith Delilah Beasley, and change-making champion Ida B. Wells.
The archival audio in this episode is from the Library of Congress. "Your mother's gone away to join the army" from 1913 is played before the cold open and after the outro. "Mr. Dooley's address to the Suffragists" from 1914 is played during the ad break. Both historical recordings have been edited from their original versions.
