Chapter 1: Identity         Who we are is a product of our environment. The beauty of growing, maturing and being human is that we have the ability to change...to adapt...to be better. Sally, Bennie and Jessica grew up as black girls in a small Italian town and could have let their experiences keep them as narrow-minded as the people around them. Through travel, exploration and progressive parents, they have branched out to be the world-changers they are today.
