Hey everyone! Enjoy this week's episode. My apologies for being a couple of days late, but our in-person trivia is expanding! And I have a lot of thanks to every listener for that too!
But hey, we're deep into October, which means...it's spooky season! So we'll get a lil Halloweenie...but with a few other fun rounds.
And as always, please let me know if you have any round suggestions or ideas! So awesome to hear from listeners around the world and maybe...one day...we'll do an in-person quiz in your hometown!
We'reeee basically in spooky season! But, not quite there yet, so we're gonna start doing more "scary" rounds, although maybe one of these is scary!
Even worse, our first round is on "real life" spooky things, then into historical things that occurred during October...and the rest, well...you'll just have to listen!
Appreciate all of you guys so much!
Also...if you're reading this description - you get a bonus point!
Cheers!
So...I hate to do this, but first and foremost - if you're listening then you should help me by voting Alex Fitschen as the next "Top Host" in this contest I signed up for! You can vote for free at: https://tophost.org/2026/alex-fitschen
Or check out the Epic Pub Quiz Instagram and our BIO has a link that also can get you there. It'd be super cool to be in the finals...but we're up against people with larger followings...but "meh" engagement.
Anyways, enough self-promotion, enjoy this episode about the end of the world, another all-related round...(I know, we've been doing that a lot lately, but we'll change it up soon) and maybe around about McDonalds?
Appreciate you guys and see in the next episode!
Hello and welcome back to another episode of EPQ! And this episode should be very special. Not only did it take me 3 different days to record it (first an audio corruption problem, then I was too... 'out of sorts'), but we got it right for this one!
I've checked the analytics, and welp, this is gonna be a lil tricky for y'all overseas...idk why I'm typing out an accent I don't have; I'm basically in Los Angeles. But let's see how you guys do with this episode!
Also, I want to encourage you guys to comment on these posts (nicely please...I'm sensitive lol), but I do love hearing feedback from wherever you're listening. It's not like I intended to be heard around the world, but if I am - let's be friends!
Get ready for Cats n Dogs, Bald Peoples, an All Related Round...and... well, listen to the last round!
Cheers,
Alex
Apologies for R3 answers of last episode! Not sure what the heck happened there, but hey...we keep it rolling! (Although I almost lost this entire recording to an error too...) But we good!
Welcome back to another episode of shenanigans and questions. This week, well...I was proud of a round, so I added a little bit extra to it. We're gunna get wet and wild with the Waterworld round, some word play, and a list to end it...and some other fun inbetween.
Idk how to write descriptions...this is me writing what to expect a lil bit. But expect the unexpected! Ooooh...so mysterious.
Anyways, welcome back to the fun! I'm back, you're back, we back and its time to attack...with fun!
Ohhhhh boy, we back! And omg...even though I took a little time off because of...life things, I've been missing posting these for a while now. Apologies to all of our previous listeners, regular in-person trivia players, and anyone else for the delay.
But hey, ish happens.
We're back and better than ever with more trivia, more shenanigans, and all sorts of things that we can do on just audio only....
And as always, if you're in the Southern California area (or visiting) come check out our live trivia events - which are even weirder at any spot Monday thru Friday!
See y'all soon and glad to be back!
-Alex
How many episodes does it take to make a 'season' in the podcast world? Please say it's 20, bc then I can say we're onto our 2nd! ....this is a never ending project let's be real.
And I'm stoked about it! This episode is a classic EPQ, with some actual solid questions, a little history, some....death....and then shenanigans. Which is basically our lifecycle of trivia, whatever that means.
Enjoy EP21 and if anyone wants to get involved in anything Epic Pub Quiz - let me know! Trivia should be fun and approachable, filled with goofiness....some of y'all take this way too seriously.
We made it to episode 20! That's a milestone, right?
But keeping up with a regular posting schedule...for the most part. And honestly, I'm still shocked that anyone is listening to this - but hey, I'll keep doing them until I retire, or get usurped by my padawan.
In this episode, we go back to some old favorites and don't get as silly as in one of the previous episodes. But that just means some shenanigans are currently being brewed...again this isn't supposed to be serious trivia. We the Mario Party of trivia... someone's gonna steal stars in the last term, someone is getting punched in the arm, but there's usually drinks and we're all still friends at the end.
Cheers ya'll!
Also don't be shy! You can follow us @EpicPubQuiz on Instagram or check out EpicPubQuiz.com and send me a message (a nice one, preferably) - say hi, request a theme or round, or whatever!
What's more fun than colors, food, directions, and sci-fi?! All of them together as themes for our pub quiz rounds, of course...you know, as the old saying goes...
We got a little silly in one of those last episodes, but a return to some normalcy (if that's ever a thing). But I hope you all enjoy, it's another silly quiz. I had fun, and I hope you do as well, listening to this!
Also...we're hiring! I'm looking for trivia hosts to start at some new locations and continue the shenanigans. Possibly even overseas!
I digress.
Keep your eyes peeled for Episode 20 posted on Saturday morning (Los Angeles time)
Look at that, weekly releases! That's right, we've figured out our ishhh on this end and now will be bringing you weekly pub quizzes on all the audio platforms!
We got a "fun" review on Apple Podcasts a few weeks back, but hey, I get it. We're settling on a format, and that means I get to focus more on the questions, content, and production instead of fighting the system for music rounds. That is defintely reflected in today's episode - Historical Person Twitter, a crazy 50/50 round, and of course some regular pub quiz questions.
I hope y'all enjoy, and remember, don't take this too seriously - trivia should be fun and filled with shenanigans. Because a pub quiz should be about enjoying being at a pub, not playing jeopardy for life and death.
