In the spring of 2021 the Carnegie Mellon University students in Professor Newman's Media class on HBO's Watchmen, created a podcast about the television series. In this intro episode, episode "zero", the student hosts, Cristina Pullen and Katy Zapanta, along with CMU Professor Kathy M. Newman, answer the question, "who will watch the watchmen?" CMU students are called "Tartans" because CMU's founder, Andrew Carnegie, is Scottish. A tartan is a twilled woolen fabric with a plaid design.
