Episode 000 - Welcome to The Verdependent Podcast!

Welcome to the Verdependent Podcast where we depend on the Verde & Black for our everyday vibes!

For the intro episode of the Verdependent, we want to spend a few minutes introducing ourselves and running through the structure you can expect week-to-week. We, LoBar, LoJo, and Paul, are all Austin FC superfans with our own stories on how soccer came to be so important and influential to our lives. LoBar is a born and raised Austinite who fell in love with the sport once his hometown got a club. LoJo is a lifelong fan and player (DC United academy alum, nbd) who has been immersed in this club since it's inception and drives up from San Antonio every weekend to join the party at Q2. Paul is also a lifelong player and fan whose footy roots have been grounded in Austin since birth and now flourish in the horn section of La Murga de Austin week in and week out.

Each episode will start with a “Kickoff” summarizing the talking points for that week’s episode. There will be both a first and second half where we discuss topics like game reviews, game previews, tactics, lineups, tournament play, and our general expectations for the team. The halves will be split by a quick “Halftime” where we will chat about a specific player, a specific instagram photo, Austin FC II, transfer rumors, player acquisitions or departures, and more. And each episode will end with a “Stoppage Time” rundown where we rapid fire react to a number of topics related to Austin FC, MLS, and more.
