Annie is my oldest friend... in that I've known her longer than anyone else that isn't my immediate family.

We met in 7th grade in Northern California. Both transplants to the suburbs from the Oakland/Berkeley area.

Although more often than not we've spent most of our lives not necessarily in the same orbit, we've always been in the same galaxy. We've checked in from time to time, and eventually, both of us ended up in Los Angeles, albeit on the opposite sides of this large metropolis.

We spoke about friendships and relationships, and for the most part she let me work through a lot of my internal monologue about friendships and keeping in touch with people. Just another day of catchin' up.
