James is the Chief Met. at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham Alabama. James is well known for a 41 year long career in roadcast meteorology beginning in 1979. James is known for his coverage of the 1993 Blizzard, 2000 Tuscaloosa Tornado as well as his coverage of 2011 Tornado Super Outbreak that affected the Eastern United States. He's the author of an autobiographical book entitled "Weathering Life."
