The Podcast with Shizzo returns! Our guest this week is no other than the supremely talented RnB sensation & producer Fjay.
The King of RnB begins by going down memory lane where he recollects his first encounter with music. He then describes how he got into production & and his early affiliation with Street Fame Tapyana. Even more, Fjay elaborates how working with Street Fame was part of the learning curve as well as what principles he learnt & applied to his current endeavours.
The self proclaimed king of RnB then describes how upon being signed to So Good, he had to earn several notches under his belt in order to catch the attention of the people capable of elevating his career. It is then that he got to work with the likes of Salma & a host of other household names in the industry. Steady ascending in the industry, the 'Range Rover' singer tells an interesting story of how he became part of Urban Hype, which besides him consists of members Badman Shapi & The Ajay.
Thereafter, Fjay acknowledges how he had mentors at every juncture in his career before getting into how he & his Urban Hype counterparts became part of the Taurus music fold. The pair then discuss a host of other topics including : Fjay's albums (Nafika) & his latest offering (8), what was the inspiration behind each respective project, lessons learnt, singles, travelling, diversifying his hustle, his clothing brand & plenty more.
In closing, our esteemed guest lets us in on what's in the pipeline for him in the near future such as collaborations with international acts as well as putting more energy into earning more stripes through his production (It's got to be Fumbani).
