What are sinking funds? How can you use them?

Sinking funds help you prepare for the unexpected, plan for irregular expenses and plan for the fun things you want in life!

That money you're saving each month? Categorize it and give it a "job" so that you know exactly what you're planning for. Plan ahead of major purchases, save monthly for those irregular expenses instead of it hitting your budget all in one month, or put money aside for the things that make you happy! 

You can do this with a simple excel spreadsheet or utilize an app like YNAB to create your sinking fund and start planning for your future!
