Episode 0053 - We Have A Leadership Crisis in Washington D.C.
With every crisis we can learn about leadership.
In this podcast we are going to talk about two styles of leadership. The first style is what we are seeing going on in Washington right now out of the Whitehouse. Autocratic Leaders is a form of leadership where decision are made by the leader alone. These leaders don't consider that teams thoughts and opinions before making a decision or heading into a new direction without telling anyone. This is what has happened with the current leader in the Whitehouse.
The leadership that is needed is called Strategic Leadership. These are leaders that adopt the strategic leadership style are often at a crossroads, strategy is important. Planning is vital. This leader essentially accepts executive level interests while supporting lower level concerns to make sure the decision making process brings stability.
From the crisis we are seeing, hearing, and viewing coming out of the capital, we can learn from the chaos about leadership strength and weaknesses. You and I have to learn more about leadership, study it, talk about it, have debates about leadership. Without leadership, you just have chaos and crisis.
