On today's episode for our first story we have three interviews: one with Indigenous student coordinator for the nursing student's association River Steele Guillas, one with head of the department of native studies Cary Miller, and one with UMSU president Jakob Sanderson. All interviews were in response to the posters discovered bearing the phrase, "It's OK to be White". Our second story covers the current podcast available through UMFM titled "Minogondaagan: the Good Voice". A podcast about reconciliation, we talked to Elissa Black Wolf Kixen, executive producer of the podcast, and Sasha Mark, associate producer. Our third story is in regards to the recent astronomy open house hosted at the University of Manitoba on Oct. 31 by staff from the astronomy department and the Winnipeg chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. We spoke to Danielle Pahud, an instructor in the U of M's physics and astronomy department and is in charge of the Lockhart planetarium, and Bryan Stach, vice-president of the Winnipeg chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. We close the show with a quick chat with Nahlah Ayed, to talk about how she ended up in a career of journalism and becoming an international correspondent.
