Descendants, Corruption and a Flood - Part 1

Episode 009: Genesis Chapter 5-6 has just landed. A short series of the first 11 chapters of Genesis, and how they help us understand the the outworking of the rest of the Bible narrative.

Today I am talking about Genesis chapters 5 and 6. In the last episode we saw mankind plunge further into sin, even though God has enabled the couple to have two sons, in whom maybe rested the hope of an offspring who will overcome the serpent.

Chapter 5 is a genealogy story that serves as a bridge to chapter six where we have a world view of increasing human wickedness and the epic battle between righteousness and evil will continue.
