More Descendants, More Corruption and a Flood – Part 2

Episode 010: Genesis Chapter 6-9 has just landed. A short series of the first 11 chapters of Genesis, and how they help us understand the the outworking of the rest of the Bible narrative.

So, last episode we saw just how far the people had fallen into wickedness and sin.

But this time, in a kind of reversal of Genesis 1, God determines to wipe out man, animals, creeping things and birds, An indication of just how corrupt things had become. He was sorry that He had made them…

Then just when all hope seemed lost, verse 8 of chapter six is dropped in our laps and hope is found and, maybe restored again:

“But Noah, found favour, in the eyes of the Lord”
