In this episode of The Rambling Rev, Pastor Scott continues his exploration of the Sermon on the Mount, this time focusing on Matthew 5:13-20. Jesus tells us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Pastor Scott considers that salt and light are both good things but also destructive things. He ponders on what these analogies might tell us as we live our lives in the reality of the kingdom of heaven being here now. From there, Jesus flips into a corrective about abolishing the law and the prophets, but that he has actually come to fulfill them. As always, the big question is...what does that mean for us?
