In this episode of The Rambling Rev, Pastor Scott tackles the Temptation of Jesus, which is always featured during the first week of Lent. We find the devil (if we want to use that name) trying to subvert Jesus' action in the world, and it seems to stem from the need to "prove himself." Jesus claims the identity Son of God, and doesn't need to prove it, as he knows that's already true. Likewise, we can rest assure in our identity as one claimed by God as a beloved child.
