In this episode of First Things First, I sit down with Dr. Hillel Rubinstein of Desert Mars Analog Ramon Station, or D-MARS, an analog mission center created to test how humans may be able to survive on the red planet.

We discuss his mission to help better prepare – and educate – humans for their first steps on a planet other than our own. In particular, we learn how IoT is helping accomplish this mission, and the value of testing even earth-bound products in the harshest environments known to man.
