Tim Markison is a man of many hats - he's an accomplished engineer, a successful patent attorney with his own practice, CEO and founder of a thriving performance athletic shoe company and, he's a survivor of child abuse.

In this episode, Tim discusses his childhood and how his passion for baseball was the only thing that motivated him to keep going. His love for baseball and his knowledge as an engineer and patent attorney led him to create locally-owned and operated shoe company, Athalonz in 2014.

Tim has designed shoes that help baseball and softball players, as well as golfers have more power and force simply starting with their stance. The company has grown from a small start-up to now a company with national distribution, supporting athletes from the Little League level all the way up to pros. His company features a roster of partners/investors from major league hitting coaches, major league pitchers and professional golfers to orthopedic surgeons and sports scientists.

Tim's bigger purpose with Athalonz is to bring a voice to victims of child abuse and importantly, to put a stop to it. Tim donates a percentage of all sales to Safe at Home, a nonprofit devoted to ending child abuse and healing survivors.
