On today's episode, I sit down with comedian, writer, actor and host, Francisco Ramos. He recently did a special on HBO called “Entre Nos” that aired in 2018. He was a top 10 finalist on Last Comic Standing and has acted on “Shameless”, “Angie Tribeca” “Lady Dynamite”, and voiced the role of Marmoset in the animated film “RIO.” I’ve known Francisco since when I first started doing stand up. But as is the case, he was someone I always saw around and said hello to, but we never really got to know each other. But on this episode, we did just that. Starting off with some delicious arepas, we quickly went into talking about his experience immigrating to America from Venezuela when he was 13 and how self help books guided him in the transition from working in finance to stand up. By the end, we discovered that we have similar philosophies on the way we see the world and attack it accordingly.
