Out of Office (OOO) is a collaborative design studio led by Elana Schlenker and Mark Pernice, based in Brooklyn, New York and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mark also runs an independent illustration practice, mainly focusing on editorial work for the likes of The New York Times, Wired Magazine, and host of others.
We discuss the value of "failing upwards," Mark's relationship to music and surfing, and some existential quandaries.
