I used to think I just didn’t get along with women.
Not in a dramatic way, just quietly, like it was a personality trait I’d already accepted about myself. But looking back, I don’t think that belief came from who I was. I think it came from what I learned early on about what it cost to belong.
In this episode, I talk openly about girlhood, bullying, loneliness, and the way aesthetics and social proximity shaped the friendships I chased, and the ones I missed. I reflect on growing up feeling excluded, learning how to survive by being useful, and how my relationship with women began to change in my 30s through my work, my community, and a lot of unlearning.
This is a vulnerable, honest look at the difference between the friends we want and the friends we actually need, and how choosing alignment over proximity can change everything.
