EPISODE 03: Quality Over Quantity, Always

In this week’s CHALK TALK, we discuss the importance of focusing on the QUALITY of things over the QUANTITY of it. 

It’s so easy to get caught up in doing more, and thinking that more is always better, but in a lot of aspects, less is truly where it's at. We specifically focus on the training aspect of things and looking at your training cycles like writing a program with linear periodization - we zoom out and look at the big picture (like the types of movement you’re engaged in), then narrow it down to the finer details (like the actual number of exercises you’re doing in a training session, and the quality of your reps). 

We also discuss some lifestyle factors because we currently live in an over-consuming world where we’re constantly inundated with the idea of needing more … more steps in your skincare routine, more people in your social circle, etc. As we get older we start to realize just how important the quality of our relationships, priorities, and boundaries truly are.
