Amelia lives and works in Brooklyn, NY is an artist and also an educator at Pratt Institute. Her paintings and sculptures explore the interpretation of memories and dreams dealing with landscapes and fictitious sites. She has exhibited at such venues as SPRING/BREAK Art Fair (New York, NY), Southampton Art Center (Southampton, NY), Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (Salt Lake City, UT), Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (Boulder, CO), Day & Night Projects (Atlanta, GA)

“Within my work, I construct a visual representation of an artificial place, a study of an invented land. This invented place became a realm of escapism where I explore color theory and lighting conditions, while simultaneously unpacking weighted feelings of impending environmental issues of the Anthropocene.” - Carley
