Nkechi Anele is an Australian-Nigerian musician, songwriter, radio presenter and social activist. Most notably she performed with Melbourne band Saskwatch for a decade, playing major festivals globally and releasing four critically-acclaimed albums. In 2016, along with her best friend Lucie Cutting, Nkechi launched The Pin, a website discussing race, identity and culture in Australia from the perspective of multinational and multiracial Australians. In 2018, The Pin went live at Splendour in the Grass and WOMADelaide. Since 2018 Nkechi has been the presenter of Roots ‘N’ All on triple j, where she promotes diversity through songs and boogies out to global rhythms every Monday night.
