What We Learned

1. To be the best you have to put in the time.

Matt started out in high school playing drums and played hours a day to improve his skills. He still plays hours a day to continue to improve his abilities.

2. Never stop challenging yourself

Matt could choose to be content with his level of skill, but instead he chooses to challenge himself. This is one of the things that makes him so good.

3. Inspiration can come from anywhere.

Matt said that he finds his inspiration outside the music world. He finds it in people who he thinks works harder than he does.
