For this week's episode I sit down with a dear friend, Kayla. Kayla discusses her experience as a teen mom and the challenges she faced balancing motherhood and her social life. She talks about the lack of proper sex education and the impact of her environment on her rebellious teenage years. Kayla also reflects on the importance of family support and the beauty of creating a legacy through her children. In this part of the conversation, I discuss the concept of my legacy and the impact I want to have on the people I interact with. I also talk about my perspective on marriage and how my love for someone wouldn't necessarily change because we are married. Kayla shares her journey into the legal field and the highs and lows she has experienced. She also discuss the reduction of Black men at the executive level and attributes it to a desire to minimize the Black man and the attack on the Black family dynamic. In this final part of the conversation, we discuss the challenges of dating and finding success in the corporate world as a Black person. We touch on topics such as racial bias in hiring, the pressure to earn a high salary, and the importance of adaptability. Kayla also shares her thoughts on the significance of money and the value of personal growth. And as always we end the conversation with a rapid-fire round of questions.
