podcast ‘2 Minutes with the Lord.’ I am your host Fr. Dominic Veigas SVD
I want to ask you a question
today.
Have you ever stood at the
base of a hill or a mountain, looking up, feeling the weight of the climb
ahead?
Life often feels like
that—steep, overwhelming, and uncertain.
Today, we’re stepping into
Psalm 121, a song for the journey, a promise that no matter how daunting the
climb, we have help.
This isn’t just any help—it’s
the help of the One who made the hills, the valleys, and the earth beneath our
feet. So, let’s start climbing together.
Close your eyes for a moment
and imagine this:
You’re standing at the base
of a long, winding trail. The sun is warm on your face, but the path ahead
looks steep and endless. Your heart feels heavy—not just from the climb but
from your burdens. You lift your eyes to the hills and whisper, ‘Where will my
help come from?’
And then, as if carried on
the breeze, you hear a voice saying this to you:
I lift up my eyes to the
hills—
from where does your help
come?
Your help comes from the
Lord,
who made heaven and earth.’
