The sudden demise of one of Africa's best leaders has sent shockwaves through the entire continent of Africa, and some parts of the world too. Almost two years ago, Professor Patrice Lumumba of Kenya emphasized the need to emulate certain principles of the late leader. Unfortunately, before his radical approach toward corruption eradication could be understood and adapted in other African economies, he was taken away. We take a look back at some of his radical policies that had begun certain a path for Tanzania's economic liberation; which, we believe may have drawn some fierce antagonism leading to his demise.
