In this episode, I have the absolute pleasure of talking booze with one of Scotland’s fastest growing Subscription Box companies when it comes to Gin and Whisky!  We chat about everything subscription boxes, but also about mid life crisis decisions and passion projects!  All this and much more with the Co-Founder of Juniper and Peat, from Stirling Scotland, Richard Grayburn!

Established just 18 months ago, born from a passion for Gin and Whisky, and a hole in market that otherwise seemed saturated, Founders Richard and Ed took it upon themselves to turn their then hobby of tasting great liquors into a profitable business, and eventual full time job!  

Inspired by a gin festival in Stirling in autumn of 2018, Richard and Ed realized that this was a world they wanted to get involved in, and Juniper & Peat was born, whisky was quickly added (as they live in Scotland, it would be almost sacrilegious not to include whisky).

In this episode we talk about the hardships of the subscription boxes, lessons learned and why you shouldn’t get involved in the industry?  What? Well, maybe not quite, but you’ll have to listen in to find out why.  We obviously discuss alcohol, whisky with or without and e, shipping challenges and much much more.
