For years, I’ve asked myself the same question: what is the point of having a crush? You’re the only one who knows you have a crush, so why do we give them so much power? Why do crushes give us butterflies and make us nervous to talk to people? Why do people respond differently to having a crush than we do to do people we don’t have a crush on?
