Michael and Stephanie discuss a Ted Talk by Janelle Shane that talks about the weird ways AI and algorithms try to solve problems, especially when given vague controls.

Janelle actually wrote a book about this, and has a website. Michael just purchased the book, and will update in the future.

The programming language for kids Stephanie mentioned is called Scratch, and it looks pretty interesting.
