The second full length episode of The Chippewa Herald Sports Podcast welcomes Chippewa Falls McDonell volleyball coach Kat Hanson digs deep into the legacy her family has in the program.
The McDonell program was founded by Kat's mother Deb Roesler in the 1970s and built up to become a WISAA state champion in 1999. Following her graduation from McDonell and going on to play volleyball collegiately, Kat returned to the program in the later 2000s to lead the program her mother founded and let until her sudden passing. Kat has guided the program to a state championship (2009) and has helped the Macks remain a preeminent contender in the Western Cloverbelt Conference and Chippewa Valley.
