This season of Almost an X-Man is all about Dazzler and her solo series from 1981-1986. 

Episode 1: Dazzler is bad at adulting. In the first issue we're introduced to our girl Alison Blaire, a starving artist in the big city with dreams of making it as a recording artist. She also has mutant abilities that allow her to convert sound into DAZZLING arrays of light and energy! Can our hero have it all in a world that hates and fears her kind?
