This episode features mother-son water rights activist team Luke and Nickie Sekera. Nickie's T-shirt saying "I've Been to the Future...and We Won!" -not to mention Luke and her badass work against water privatization - inspired me to write the first song on "The Canary Collective: Vol 1" album, "Been to the Future."
