Hello Friends! Thanks for tuning into the first episode of the Paper Lantern Podcast.
Brian Kim is a close friend of mine who currently works at Rotunda Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Washington D.C., and is a founder of Tabe Tomo, a tsukemen ramen restaurant in New York City.
We met back in 2015 when we were both living & working in Los Angeles. At the time, he was working in private equity at Endeavour Capital after spending 2 years working in investment banking in Chicago at Citi.
Brian and I became fast friends as we shared a passion for video games, P90X workouts, and trying to find more ways to find fulfillment in our lives. He is a stand-up friend who retains a down-to-earth Midwest personality and a caring outlook on life, despite his amazing career and life accomplishments.
I'm thankful to count Brian as my friend and I hope you enjoy our far-ranging conversation about careers in finance, early goals and outlooks, and his path to starting a ramen restaurant.
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy the show! If you have any thoughts, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to send me a note:
