The Alt Left is a renegade faction of lifelong liberals who feel the mainstream Left has veered too far into identity politics, radical gender ideology, and unchecked Immigration, and this has resulted in a schism within the Left. As a political movement, it positions itself as a third way; neither conservative nor woke, but instead a muscular liberalism willing to fight for its values against threats from both sides
