Before God spoke light into existence, the Spirit was already there—hovering over the dark, formless chaos. The Hebrew word tohu vavohu describes a world without shape or structure, and merachefet pictures God like an eagle hovering over its young. This episode explores the comfort hidden in those opening verses: God doesn't wait for things to be orderly before he shows up. He was present in the formless void before he fixed anything. If your life feels shapeless right now—if you're in a season where nothing has taken form and you can't see what's coming—Genesis 1 says the Spirit of God is hovering over your waters. The light will come. But the presence comes first.
