Populism, a complex political phenomenon, may impact society and democratic institutions in multiple ways. To discuss the relationship between #populism and the #judiciary, DEMOS communications manager, Vinicius Gorczeski, and Balázs Fekete, researcher at the Centre for Social Sciences in Budapest, invited two special guests to explain how populism has changed the legal and media landscapes in Romania and Hungary: Alexandra Mercescu, from the West University of Timisoara in Romania and Bea Bakó, a journalist covering the Hungarian judiciary for the Azonnali.
