In this opening episode, Kate experiences the cultural diversity of Dubai - a city made up of some 200 nationalities. She is introduced to its astonishing mix of religions, languages and food by people from very different backgrounds but who now all call Dubai their home. She spends time with locals and ex-pats, young and old, whose lives have become intertwined - working and living together and forming life-changing, and lifelong, friendships.
