Episode 1: Nii Botchway on the Language of Design
Today I'm joined by Nii Botchway who is one of the instigators of this podcast. Nii is one of those people that you have to have a pen and paper in hand when you speak to, because he just operates on such an incredibly deep level of reflection that he never ceases to open my mind and shift my thinking.
Among the many juicy things we cover in this conversation is the language of design and the role that it plays in our lives. Design thinking and what is missing from the equation. Design education and design consciousness from a Western and African perspective. As well as the inner barriers we all face as designers and how to overcome them.
I will warn you that you may want to have a notepad on hand to capture the "idea-bombs" he drops all over the place.
I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did!
More about Nii Botchway:
