Shortly after five AM, on May 1, 2010 Shannan Gilbert was seen running down the street of a quiet gated community called Oak Beach on Long Island. She was screaming “they’re trying to kill me.” This was the last time Shannan was ever seen alive. The search for Shannan Gilbert led investigators to a gruesome discovery; it revealed the burial sites of over ten individuals all located on the 17 mile long Jones Beach Island.
