We are joined by Sondre Rasch - co-founder & CEO of SafetyWing and host of SafetyWing’s Building Remotely podcast, a guide on how to build and scale a remote company.
Sondre’s educational background is in economics and computer science. Previously he was a policy advisor for the Government of Norway, working on their social safety net. He was also the co-founder of SuperSide (YC W16), a platform for freelance designers. We are going to be talking about Sondre’s experience with YCombinator and SuperSide, his journey of becoming a digital nomad - that led to the creation of SafetyWing which is helping digital nomads and remote teams out there by building a safety-net for everyone in the world.
SafetyWing is a fully remote team building a global social safety net. Their mission is to create a country on the internet, removing the barrier of geographical borders to create equal opportunities and freedom for everyone. SafetyWing was born in 2018 (YC W18), has raised over $50M, and has grown its community to 100k+ customers.
