Woes and Wonders of Women, Witches and Wives

Episode 1: The Salem Witch Trials

Listen Later

This week we are headed to 1692 (not 1962, we know it is easy to mix those up) and diving into some stories of women during the Salem Witch Trials! Elaine takes us through the story of a woman named Tituba, one of the first to be accused and tried for being a witch in Salem that year. Then Juliana takes us into the world of Martha Corey (or Cory depending on who you ask) who was one of the last women executed in the ten months that the witch hysteria gripped Salem! Join us to hear these women's stories and a little bit of history around the Witch Trials as a whole.
