On the first episode of The Lucky Country, host Richard Denniss is joined by journalist Laura Tingle and the founder of the Australian Greens, Bob Brown, to examine the myth of politicians "managing" the economy. Richard will also look at citizenship and population and Dick Smith's little Australia. Finally, he'll introduce the first in a recurring segment, Public Servant X, where an anonymous former senior public servant draws back the curtain on how the country really functions.
