In this episode, we chat with the musician Herman Kleinhans and his life partner Maryke Steyn. Herman is an Afrikaans singer and Maryke used to work in a dental lab. They are, however, very familiar with hustling and bustling, starting something from nothing and takings risks.  During the lockdown, they opened Twee Vellies, a fast-expanding shoe shop in the Eastern Cape. We talk about music, love, vellies, birthday- festivals,  partnerships, lockdown habits, and the importance of a braai! Herman and Maryke were open and kind and willing to share their knowledge, triumphs, and failures on our very first episode of FIVE 2 NINE. We hope you enjoy it just as much as we did!
