<p>Communication disorders affect nearly 1 in every 10 people. At any point in life, at birth or later in adulthood, a communication disorder can be acquired and diagnosed. From a grandfather who had a stroke, to a child born with autism, my goal is to spread awareness and educate others on what a communication disorder is, and how we can improve the quality of life for individuals who may have one. As graduate student studying speech and language pathology, this podcast perfectly pairs my scholastic and volunteer goals while sharing these passions to a larger audience.
