At the beginning of the year, I found myself pondering over God's plan for me. Sitting in my living room, reading Miranda Lambert's new cookbook "Y'all Eat Yet," memories of my childhood with the Lambert family flooded back. It was during those early high school years that I had the privilege of living with them.
As I delved into the pages of the cookbook, reading the stories behind Beverly's famous meatloaf, I felt God calling to write my story- the story of my childhood when my father kidnapped me and took me to Jordan.
Reflecting on the scriptures, 1 Kings 17:10-14 came to mind. It tells the story of Elijah approaching a widow and asking for food and water. Despite her dire circumstances, the widow was obedient she shared what little she had.
Inspired by this tale, I realized that if the widow could find the strength to be obedient, then I too could find the courage to answer God's call.
By sharing my story, I hope to shed light on the struggles and triumphs that come with overcoming adversity. I aim to provide a message of hope and resilience, reminding others that they too can find strength in the face of their own challenges.
So, as I embark on this writing journey, I do so with a heart full of faith and a determination to be obedient to the call that God has placed on my life.
