Salvation Connection is here to walk with you as you make the most important decision of your life—inviting Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior. These messages are meant to lovingly guide you through the questions and uncertainties that many people have about Him.
In this session we will look at: Who is Jesus? The Son of God Who Came Near
When you hear the name Jesus, what comes to mind? Some think of a great teacher or a religious leader. Scripture says something far greater—Jesus is the Son of God who came near to us.
John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” God stepped into our world—not as a distant ruler, but as a Savior who walked where we walk, felt what we feel, and faced our struggles. Hebrews 4:15 says He knows temptation, pain, and rejection—yet He lived without sin.
Here’s our problem: unlike Him, we sin. Sin isn’t only breaking rules; it’s pushing God aside to go our own way. We see it in pride, selfishness, and anger. Sin separates—it steals peace, harms relationships, and ultimately separates us from God.
Why did Jesus have to die? Because sin carries a real penalty. A just God can’t shrug at evil; it must be paid for. The wage of sin is death—spiritual death, separation from God. Only a sinless life could stand in for us. Jesus offered His perfect life in our place.
So Jesus came near to rescue us—not merely to set an example, but to take our place. On the cross He bore our sin and paid the debt we could never pay. In His resurrection He broke the power of death so we can be forgiven and made right with God.
This matters for you today. Whatever chaos you’re in, whatever weight you carry, Jesus came near to you. He died for your sins and rose to give your life. He is not just a figure from the past—He is alive and calling you now.
Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Friend, Jesus came near so you could be brought near to God. Will you receive Him?
SINNER’S PRAYER
To Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior please repeat the Sinners Prayer
If you’ve never trusted Christ, pray from your heart:
Dear Lord,
I am a sinner, and I need a Savior.
I am sorry for my sins, and I repent.
I believe You died on the Cross for my sins and rose again.
I ask you to come into my heart right now and be my Lord and Savior.
I know from this point moving forward I will have eternal life in you.
Please order my steps and help me to live in such a way that brings honor and glory to Your Name
Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of salvation.
If you prayed that prayer and believe it in your heart, God’s Word says you are saved—not because of what you’ve done, but because of who Jesus is and what He has done for you.
The prayer does not save you; it is your faith now being placed in Jesus Christ as your Savior and what he did on the Cross that saves you.
I pray that your walk with our Lord and Savior may be full, and you especially enjoy His moments in your life.
May God bless you
