Eight years later they're still taking your temperature when you enter the country. The Forbidden City has long since been permitted, and the Great Wall is just as great as ever. But gone are the swarms of bicycles, replaced with swarms of BYDs and BMWs. Savor the Peking duck, chow down on donkey and take a deep breath whenever you catch a taxi.
