The various events in the cell cycle are broadly classified into two

1. Interphase
2. M-Phase

In interphase cell duplicates its genome and other constituents

In M-phase the cell divides into two cells.

Interphase involves three sub-phases like

1. G1-Phase
2. S-Phase
3. G2-Pahse
