In this episode Dr. Diane Hassan talks about entering medical school while she was pregnant. She discusses how Iraqi marriages were arranged at that time. How establishing a relationship with Thebat helped her during her time in medical school. The challenges she faced in Iraq, hosting social functions while she had to study for school. Lastly even though she was married in the United States she had to get married in Iraq, in order to have her marriage recognized by the Iraqi government.
